My kids were hooked after about 5 minutes in. Tate said "I now want to be a farmer... but without the farm house." He doesn't even eat bluerries. He does, however, love to run around free, along the rows, as the breeze blows. (It was only about 70F, and such delightful weather.)
They enjoyed it so much, we went twice this week! I can't wait until apple season...
We picked with The Country Mill in Charlotte, MI.
This is just a portion of the 5 lbs of blueberries we picked in under an hour.

Love this! I used to love picking berries in Michigan. Glad you are settling in! xo
Wow, what are you doing with all those berries? We didn't go berry picking, we went bean picking! Putting up a bunch of delicious dill beans :)
We froze a bunch, Soleil ate her weight in them, and then we gave a bunch to Carol. I have them daily with my oatmeal, so they will be great all year long!
Love these pics! The kids look so happy. xo
How lovely! I've been having great fun freezing and preserving this year, especially with the CSA goodies we've been getting. I've frozen a bunch of dill, celery, have batches of kale and onion ready to be mixed in with scrambled eggs or dropped into soup. and I've made up a few bags of mirepoix for faster cooking this winter. Plus all the dilly beans and pickles!
